Authentic Americana! We went on a Saturday night and enjoyed the amazing perfectly cooked catfish and a burger. Great family atmosphere and historic little postage stamp of a town. Julie, the owner, came out and visited with us and we took in the sunset on the patio while enjoying our BYOB beverages and watched the local kids prepare for a square dance across the street. Food was delicious and lots of cute photo op surround the store. The staff is sweet and your meal is cooked to order! Newly constructed patio cover made for enjoyable Al fresco dining. We missed the live music usually between 5-8pm on Saturday nights since the singer was sick so we will be back to enjoy the live music another time. Don’t miss this hidden gem just a little northeast of Decatur. Greenwood Grocery is a must visit!

This place will take you back in time. We had live music and great food. When it packs out, don't worry if you meet new friends that need a place to set at your table. Staff is hard working and very friendly. The food is great comfort food, burgers cooked on a well seasoned grill and fried catfish served up to perfection. This is far out in the country, so you get a beautiful drive.

This place was fun. We took a nice drive. Google kind of sent us on a wrong way which ended up to be entertaining but eventually when we got there it was quite quaint and small. They offered a vegetarian salad that was not on the menu and the cutest older gentleman with what may have been. His granddaughter was singing and playing guitar. The chocolate cream pie was to die for. There are two historical markers outside the store. Really a fun fun off the beaten path thing to do.

Great hole in the wall place that seems to take you a step back in time. The quaint grocery store which serves up food is a gem and worth the try. We had burgers house fries and onion rings. All was great. The burgers were a thick patty. Fries were house cut home fries. Onion rings were crispy. Also had a sampling of the pinto beans and a generous serving of apple cobbler. Apple cobbler had just the right amount of cinnamon. Everything was great tasting. The establishment is small with gravel parking with a step up into the restaurant so access is not very wheelchair friendly. The staff is extremely friendly and make you feel right at home. The limited offerings on Friday and Saturday night come with live music.

We found this place when trying to find a close place to Legacy Park Baseball Fields. We took our whole team there, slightly overwhelming them but they handled all our orders amazingly. Burgers were gigantic & delicious!!! Fresh cut fries, crispy onion rings & yummy pies & cobbler. Check this place out, you will not be disappointed!!!!
